Ladder Demotion Penalties

posted by SteveP @ 10:51 PM BST We have now enabled ladder demotions whereby you will receive penalties for inactivity.

Currently, the following is applicable:

2-3 Periods of inactivity: -1 place demotion
4-5 Periods of inactivity: -2 place demotion
6-7 Periods of inactivity: -4 place demotion
8 Periods of inactivity: Removal from ladder

A period for the ladder will be 7 day starting 00:00 hours each Monday. Match results must be entered and confirmed within the period to avoid any inactivity penality

Please note that the above penalties are for general guidance only. Actual movements are dictated not only match results but also the activity of teams around you.

For example:

A -1 place demotion could result in a net movement up the ladder if a team above and below you also received a greater penalty.

Inactivity penalties are applied after played results have been applied to the ladder, thus any drop could be greater if others who have played have also leapfrogged your position and thus naturally demoted you down the ladder.

Ladder updates

posted by b0nes @ 11:39 PM BST The ladder will update at the moment just once a week on a Monday. Any games that are played between mondays will be used to form the new ladder positions. Please if this is going to be a sucsess we need more games played. Please make the effort, thanks.

Play Games!

posted by b0nes @ 10:40 AM BST Although there are parts of the site and ladder that still don't work wee have opened it up to start. Clans can join, play games and submit results. The first ladder will be generated once we have some results in.

Clan leaders need to enter their control panel and join the ladder. At the moment only informal fixtures can be made (arranging games on irc or mail etc) with other ladder clans. Further down the line we will introduce an online booking system but its not available yet.

So please get some games played so we can push on and generate the ladder, there will be no point bringing new features to the site if people just dont play games.

For information games can be played with any size teams from 4v4+ and on any type and amount of maps. By default its 2 ctf maps 4v4, but if you want to play dustbowl 9v9 then do so, or push 16v16 then do it!

Goodbye TFC League, Hello TFC Ladder

Since its closure and after many a successful years for our TFC League, it leaves a lost space for some eager to participate with a bit of competitive play. To fill the void, and hole in your heart we’ve re-launched our website, albeit in a ladder format.

We’ll announce further details of this in the coming week. So please and especially if interested in participating, do pay us a frequent visit for the latest news.
